Project Coordinator

OBJECTIVE

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the assigned project work within the timing and quality requirement of the project in line with the company system of management and in compliance with statutory requirement.

NATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing work, Sub-contractors and Work Teams 

  • Supervision of work area of Sub-contractors / work teams and ensure they are aware of :
    -Project procedures for the success completion of the project works,
    -Outcome expectations to be achieves by them relating to manpower use, quality, time and project requirement
    -The project plan and program of work
  • Weekly review and evaluation of man hour allocation and team / task productivity associated with all sub-contractors and workers.
  • Ensuring sub-contractors and workers full compliance of Security, Environmental and Safety system including the periodic maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Coordination and checking of material deliverables.
  • Attend site meeting, inspection and monitoring of project progress.
  • Preparation of manpower status reports and managing of change orders.
  • Maintain an innovative approach to project activities and encourage this to the sub-contractors and work team.

System Responsibilities 

  • Take reasonable action to ensure the safety and health of all personnel under their control.
  • Ensure Risk assessment is conducted and hazard control measures are implemented
  • Ensure daily house- keeping are carried out at site.
  • Ensure documentation are available and appropriate for job safety analyses, inspection and test plans, inspection and test checklist, Technical Procedure with input from supervisors, Team leaders and other project team member
  • Manage site mobilization and demobilization in an orders and efficient manner.
  • Input to the programming and coordination of the construction works with the project engineer.
  • Supervision of sub-contractors and work team activities
  • Resolve site conflicts and minimize waste of all materials used on the project
  • To coordinate and participate in the testing and commissioning of the project’s work and system
  • To perform secondary or ad hoc assignments

JOB SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • ~  Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level or related skill certification
  • ~  With Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Certificate

Experience

~ Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience as a site supervisor in the construction industry required.

Skill & Knowledge

  • ~  Must possess good communication skills.
  • ~  Have knowledge on shop drawings,

Personal Qualities

  • ~  Physically fit and healthy
  • ~  Independent and self motivated

Working Hours

~ Monday to Friday: 0830 hours – 1800 hours

~ Saturday: 0830 hours – 1230 hours
